“Small Spring Valley-based shop with 4.7 stars from 14 reviews, the kind of owner-operated outfit where a repair-vs-replace call stays personal.”
“Spring Valley-based company doing HVAC installation and repair locally, a practical second-opinion visit.”
“San Diego company's published guidance uses the 50% rule and $5,000 rule to frame replacement timing on actual performance, not age alone.”
“San Diego company with fast-growing marketing but mixed reviews, including complaints about high replacement quotes.”
“Only a 3.8 Yelp rating, weak trust signal for an honesty-sensitive second opinion.”
“Spring Valley-based but commercial and restaurant focused, not a residential advisory shop.”

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in October 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
