The storm passes. The homeowner asks an assistant.
We asked an assistant for a roof replacement in Austin and in Columbus, with an inspection, a written estimate and the warranty spelled out. It searched, read roofer sites, and came back with three local companies each time. Every pick was an independent roofer, chosen from its own website.
Neither run ended with an inspection on the calendar. The assistant found estimate forms, and told the homeowner to call or fill one in. Whoever it names is who gets that call.
“The roofer that states its warranty and its service area in plain text is the easy one to name.”
What the assistant could not confirm
- 01
Warranty terms
Workmanship warranties were mentioned but not spelled out. How long, what it covers, whether it applies to every roof. The assistant flagged it on almost every pick.
- 02
Licensing and insurance
Homeowners worry about storm chasers. A roofer that does not state its license and insurance on the site is harder to recommend.
- 03
Where you work
A service area that stops at a list of nearby towns, with a note to call if yours is missing, leaves the assistant unsure you serve the address.
- 04
What the estimate includes
Whether the free estimate is an on-site inspection with a written, itemized scope, or a phone call. The assistant could not tell.
- 05
A form it cannot open
One quote form would not load for the assistant at all, so it could not say what the homeowner would be asked or what happens next.
What wins the pick in roofing
The roofers that come through are the ones that answer the homeowner's question on their own site. The warranty in plain words. License and insurance stated and checkable. The towns and ZIP codes you serve, in text. What the inspection and estimate include, and how soon one is available. A Google profile that matches all of it.
None of that needs more ad spend. It is roofing SEO aimed at the reader that now decides the shortlist.
What we do for a roofing company
- 01
Run the real questions, monthly
Replacement, repair, storm damage and insurance claim questions in your metro, through the assistants people use, against the roofers that beat you.
- 02
Publish the deciding facts
Warranty terms, license and insurance, service area, what the estimate includes, and a price range where you can stand behind one.
- 03
Make the inspection request work for an agent
An estimate request the assistant can read and complete, not a form that only loads for a person. We tag AI-sourced calls and forms so you see picks become jobs.
- 04
Fix the profile and the directories
Google Business Profile and the directories the assistants cite, made consistent with your site.
- 05
Keep measuring through storm season
New failures found and fixed every month, with a pick report on what moved.
Who this is for
Residential roofing companies doing replacements and insurance work, from one crew to several branches, where the owner watches cost per lead. If you already pay for search ads or shared leads, the assistant's shortlist is the next channel.
We are not a replacement for your agency. They run your ads and your SEO. We make sure the assistant names you, and we prove it.
Roofing SEO as usual vs Picked by Agents
| Roofing SEO as usual | Picked by Agents | |
|---|---|---|
| What it measures | Rankings, clicks, cost per lead | Whether the assistant named you, and why, every month |
| Where the homeowner decides | A map pack, ads and shared lead sites | One answer with about three roofers |
| What it fixes | Content volume, backlinks, ad spend | Warranty, license, service area, the estimate request, the profile |
| Proof | A traffic report | The assistant's own words, then AI-sourced calls in your call tracking |
| Leads | Shared with three other roofers | The assistant names you to the homeowner directly |
| When it stops working | When you stop paying for ads | The fixes stay on your site. You keep them if you leave. |
Questions we get asked
Is this roofing SEO or something else?
- It is roofing SEO aimed at a new reader. The pages that get an assistant to name you, with your warranty, license, service area and estimate process in plain text, are the pages search engines reward too. We test whether the assistant names you, every month.
Do homeowners really ask an assistant for a roofer?
- More every month. BrightLocal found 45% of US consumers used an AI tool for local business recommendations in the past year. Nobody has measured roofing on its own yet, so we start from your call tracking and tag AI-sourced calls as they come in.
We have hundreds of reviews. Is that not enough?
- Reviews get you considered. In our runs the assistant asked about warranty terms, licensing, service area and what the estimate includes, and those decided how it described each roofer.
Do we have to publish prices?
- A range per square or a typical replacement range helps, and you choose a number you can stand behind. At minimum, publish what the inspection and estimate include and how soon one is available.
Does this help with storm and insurance work?
- Yes. We run the storm damage and insurance claim questions homeowners ask after a hailstorm, and publish how you handle inspections, adjusters and claims so the assistant can explain it.
