Why you can't just ask it yourself
If you type your own business name into ChatGPT, it will usually find you. That is not the test. Your customers don't know your name. They ask for a plumber who can come today, or the best dentist near a ZIP code, and ChatGPT picks for them.
Answers also change with the wording, the place and the day. One try tells you very little. We run several real customer questions for your trade and town, more than once, and keep what each assistant said.
What you get back
- 01
Named or not
For each question, whether ChatGPT and the other assistants picked you, listed you as an option or passed you over.
- 02
Who they named instead
The businesses that made the list in your area, and the reason the assistant gave for each one.
- 03
Why you were skipped
The fact the assistant was looking for and could not find, like a price, a service area, hours or a working booking link.
- 04
What to fix first
The two or three changes on your site and listings most likely to get you named, in plain words.
Free, from a person
Greg reads every request and sends the report by email, usually within two business days. There is no account, no card and no sales sequence. If you want us to keep checking every month after that, you can ask.
Questions we get asked
Does ChatGPT recommend local businesses?
- Yes. Ask it for a contractor, a clinic or a restaurant and it searches the web, reads what it finds and names a few businesses with a reason beside each. It names about four in a typical local answer.
How do I know if ChatGPT recommends my business?
- Ask it the questions your customers ask, with your trade and town in them, several times and in different words, and see whether your name comes up. That is what this free check does for you, across ChatGPT and the other assistants your customers use.
Why doesn't ChatGPT mention my business?
- Usually because it could not confirm something the customer asked about. The usual gaps are a missing price or quote range, a service area that does not name the towns, out of date directory listings or a site its crawler cannot read.
What do I need to give you?
- Your website, the city or ZIP code you serve, and an email to send the report to. If you have more than one location, list each one.
Is it really free?
- Yes. The report is free and there is nothing to cancel. Monthly monitoring is a separate paid plan you can choose later.
