“It publicly says its technicians are paid hourly with no sales commission, a Reddit user reported it found only a bad drain pan after another company pushed a full replacement, it has served the area since the 1970s with no BBB complaints, and it holds active Texas A/C license 46504 in Collin County.”
“It has been based in Plano since 1957, holds a BBB A+ with accreditation since 1992 and one complaint in three years, has active license 11386, and Reddit users describe using it for about 20 years.”
“This Plano company holds active license 90420 and a BBB A+ with one complaint in three years, and Reddit users mention it often, including one who praised a thorough evaluation with no sales pressure.”
“Reddit users repeatedly call this Plano owner-operator honest and license 22535 is active, but I found no website or BBB profile to verify, so it is a backup rather than a top pick.”
“Its no-upsell promise and 1,700 five-star reviews are self-reported, and it is licensed in Denton County (The Colony) rather than Plano.”
“It is the only company seen with a published diagnostic fee ($85, snippet only) and flat-rate pricing, but it works out of Farmers Branch and its reviews are self-reported.”
“It is in Plano and advertises upfront pricing, but the license number it shows belongs to a differently named business (Service Star Inc), and its testimonials are self-reported.”
“It advertises free second opinions, but its license is in Grayson County, far from Plano, and I could not check its reputation.”
“It is a licensed Plano company described as honest, but that description comes only from a directory search snippet I did not verify.”
“It is small and licensed with one Reddit mention of fair pricing, which is too little evidence to recommend it.”
“It is licensed and Reddit users call it honest, but I did not check its BBB profile or history.”

“Its Plano page specifically addresses older systems and says technicians assess whether repair or replacement makes sense after diagnosis.”
“Its Plano page says it evaluates repair versus replacement and gives upfront advice and pricing.”
“Its free second opinion requires a prior written diagnosis, which the scenario has not established.”
“Its free second opinion requires a replacement recommendation or a $500-plus repair quote from another company.”
“It offers Plano repair and replacement but the reviewed page had less explicit repair-first detail.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
