“Explicit repair-first approach: 'diagnose first, repair when safe, and replace only when it genuinely makes sense'; recommendations never driven by commission; NATE-certified, A+ BBB, licensed TACLA76759C, 24/7 in McKinney.”
“40+ years of hands-on HVAC field experience with 'honest recommendations without sales pressure'; does not offer free estimates because real diagnosis takes time and skill, which signals an honest evaluation.”
“Family-owned since 2008, Trane Comfort Specialist with A+ BBB rating, upfront pricing, NATE-certified technicians, and lifetime workmanship warranties on installations.”
“McKinney fixture since 1957 with 24/7 availability, but described as premium-positioned with upsell toward air-quality add-ons, which cuts against an honest second opinion.”
“Operating since 1945 with broad DFW coverage, but a large multi-trade footprint that can feel less personal, with less clear upfront diagnostic pricing.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in October 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
