“Reviews from Round Rock homeowners say the owner gave honest repair evaluations where other companies only wanted to sell a new unit, including presenting a fixed-income veteran with repair options instead of pushing replacement.”
“Owner's buyer's guide explicitly frames the shop philosophy as 'repair, repair, repair, replace' and tells homeowners to get a second opinion before spending big on a replacement.”
“Round Rock page leads with 'honest recommendations' and careful step-by-step diagnosis instead of quick guesses; 5.0 across 974 reviews.”
“Long-standing Round Rock contractor, but only 3.4 stars across 27 reviews — weaker trust signal than the picks.”
“Mom-and-pop Austin shop recommended as honest on a forum, but almost no web presence to verify.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in October 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
