Shumate Heating & Air

shumateheatingandair.com
“Worker-judgment order, NOT a verified ranking. Own Suwanee page claims installation experience since 1978, free estimates and financing (own claims; next-day/24-hour install language unverified). BBB (profile, reviews, complaints opened; entity matched by Duluth address): A+ ACCREDITED, 48 years, 5/5 from just ONE review (tiny sample), 4 complaints in 3 years ALL in the last 12 months (2 resolved, 2 answered; themes: maintenance follow-through and an installation thermostat dispute - reported experiences, not established findings). LICENCE partially verified: Georgia GOALS returned Shumate Mechanical LLC (Duluth, GAREGCN209336, Conditioned Air Company, Active) - a COMPANY registration record, not verification of an individual qualifying contractor (disclosed; record URL omitted). llms.txt 404.”

American Comfort Heating and Cooling

americancomfortac.com
“Own Suwanee page describes Manual J sizing, free written estimates, financing and a free replacement-quote second opinion (own claims; same-week install/24-7 language unverified). BBB (opened; address and website matched): A+ ACCREDITED, 6 years, 0 reviews, 0 complaints (thin independent evidence). LICENCE CHECK MISSING: its published CR108327 is an OWN website claim, NOT state-verified (disclosed). Its cost page's broad price language has no tonnage/SEER-scoped figure (rejected under the strict cost standard). llms.txt 404.”
Shortlisted · choice 3

Zen Air Heating & Cooling

callzenair.com
“Own Suwanee page offers new-system estimates and financing and publishes Georgia license number CN211593 (an OWN claim, NOT state-verified - licence check MISSING, disclosed). BBB (opened; website matched): A+ ACCREDITED, 11 years, 0 reviews, 0 complaints (thin); BBB address (Suwanee) differs from its page (Duluth office) - disclosed. Same-day/emergency language is an own claim. llms.txt 404.”

JE Mechanical Heating & Air

jemechanical.com
“Own page describes load calculations, commissioning and financing (own claims), but no matching BBB profile was found in the capped searches (NOT proof none exists) and its published CN211083 licence number is an own claim, NOT state-verified - kept out on weaker verification, not as a worse business.”

Every month we asked

How we ran this

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.

Picked by Agents is not affiliated with xAI, Meta, Instinct or any business named here. Recommended means the assistant recommended it. Nothing was booked.
