Picked

Air Tech 24 Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

airtech24.com
“Worker-judgment order, NOT a verified ranking. Own site states 'open 24 hours' (own claim, availability NOT verified) and publishes CSLB License# 1048416 - an OWN-SITE claim, NOT verified (CSLB lookup failed twice; its C-20 classification not checked - disclosed). BBB profile and complaints opened (entity matched by phone (310) 921-0115): not accredited, Not Rated (insufficient information per BBB), 28 yrs, 0 complaints; the customer-review subpage returned a geographic-availability block intermittently, so review counts were NOT captured (the all-three-BBB-pages standard was not met - disclosed).”
Shortlisted · choice 2

Urso Air Systems

ursoairsystems.com
“Own Manhattan Beach page states 'Same-day appointments and free in-home estimates are available' (own claims, availability NOT verified; free estimates are a promo claim, not repair pricing) and nearly 20 years serving the South Bay (own claim). BBB profile and complaints opened (matched by phone (424) 552-4716): not accredited, A- (reason: length of time in business - BBB file opened 1/29/2026, a NEW file, disclosed), 0 complaints; review counts not captured (same intermittent geographic block - disclosed). Licence check missing (CSLB attempt failed - disclosed).”
Shortlisted · choice 3

Nature Heating & Air

natureheatingair.com
“The only opened candidate physically located in Manhattan Beach 90266 (1077 N Sepulveda Blvd) and claims licensed technicians (own claim) - but it publishes NO hours, so same-day fit is UNCONFIRMED (disclosed), and its pick rests on the address and that claim only (thin). NO BBB profile found (name search returned only unrelated lookalikes - a miss, not zero). Licence check missing (CSLB failed - disclosed). llms.txt: not found.”
Passed

Temp Air System Inc.

tempairsystem.com
“Its Manhattan Beach page showed no stated hours, no emergency or same-day claim and no local address, and its 626 area-code phone suggests it is based outside the South Bay - weaker same-day fit; it advertises a 'FREE Inspection' and free replacement estimates (promo claims, not repair pricing).”

Every month we asked

How we ran this

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.

Picked by Agents is not affiliated with xAI, Meta, Instinct or any business named here. Recommended means the assistant recommended it. Nothing was booked.
