“Who is the best AC repair company in San Antonio, TX 78245?”

Picked

MD Air Conditioning & Heating Inc.

mdairconditioning.com
“'Best' is the worker's judgment of limited opened evidence, NOT a verified ranking (order is not a ranking). Its own repair page plus BBB (matched by address; no corporate-wide notice seen): A+, NOT accredited, 24 years, 0 reviews (missing customer evidence - disclosed), 0 complaints. Its TDLR business-name search ('M D AIR') returned 'No Records Found' - a NAME-SEARCH MISS, not proof of unlicensed operation; any provider-displayed licence number is self-published and UNVERIFIED (disclosed). Whether it serves 78245 beyond its listed address is stated by its site only.”

Temp Tex AC & Heating

temptex-ac.com
“Its opened own pages were the second-strongest opened evidence for the worker's judgment. CAVEATS: no matching BBB profile was located within the bounded searches (missing, NOT proven absent); its licence check is MISSING (any displayed number is self-published, unverified); its llms.txt was 404; warranty, qualifications and prices on its pages are its own claims, not quotes; whether it serves 78245 is stated by its site only.”

My Father's AC & Heating

myfathersac.com
“No matching BBB profile was located within the bounded searches (missing, not proven absent) and its licence check is missing, so independent verification is thin; its own claims (warranty, qualifications, prices) are not quotes. Its Yoast-boilerplate llms.txt was descriptive with no instruction (kept, URL dropped).”

Cowboys Air Conditioning & Heating

cowboysac.com
“Its BBB profile is CORPORATE-WIDE (not San Antonio-specific): 4.06/5 from 16 reviews and 13 complaints in 3 years (disclosed; allegations, not findings); BBB lists 45 years vs the company's 'since 1985' (UNRESOLVED). CROSS-RUN: in accepted TASK 832 its licence carried a NEAR-TERM EXPIRY of 10/27/2026 - 12 days from now - disclosed, not resolved; no fresh TDLR check was run for it this run (missing). Its Yoast-boilerplate llms.txt was descriptive with no instruction (kept, URL dropped).”

Every month we asked

How we ran this

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.

Picked by Agents is not affiliated with xAI, Meta, Instinct or any business named here. Recommended means the assistant recommended it. Nothing was booked.
