“Its own page publishes scoped install prices, Manual J sizing and financing, and its BBB profile (matched to its website) shows A+, accredited, 17 years and 0 complaints, but 0 reviews and a city trade-contractor lookup found no matching record, which does not show it is unlicensed.”
“Its page publishes a $4,500 to $14,880 ballpark, but its BBB profile (covering corporate locations) shows 291 complaints in 3 years (99 in the last 12 months), and the city lookup showed only electrical and general contractor licenses, not an HVAC license.”
“Its BBB profile is A+ and accredited but shows 2.5 of 5 over 14 reviews and 20 complaints in 3 years (11 in the last 12 months), including allegations about new AC installation problems, and no license check was run.”
“Its BBB profile is B- and not accredited with an unanswered recent complaint, its page gives no install price range, and its BBB address differs from its site.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
