One Source Heating, Cooling, Electrical & Plumbing

“Quote candidates are UNRANKED, not a verified ranking; 'best' is the worker's judgment of limited opened evidence. Its own site describes load-calculated AC installations and performance testing with financing available; its matched BBB profile (profile, reviews and complaints opened; matched through BBB's linked website despite differing street numbers on its own site and the BBB page - UNRESOLVED, as in TASK 866) shows A+, accredited, 30 years, 4.66/5 from 70 reviews, 3 complaints in 3 years, NONE in the last 12 months (communication concerns and a furnace-repair dispute with a refund response); the profile covers headquarters and corporate-owned locations. Licence: its site lists HVAC licence 2006196 - published claim only, NOT board-verified.”

Engle Services Heating & Air - Electrical - Plumbing

engleservicesheatingandair.com

“Its own Birmingham installation page describes home-specific sizing, permits, removal and testing with financing; its matched BBB profile (profile, reviews and complaints opened) is a SYLACAUGA-based profile, not Birmingham-specific: A+, accredited, 25 years, 0 reviews, 2 complaints in 3 years BOTH in the last 12 months (one resolved, one answered; plumbing, not AC installation). Licence: its site lists AL 00145 and BBB records 2000145 - published claims only, NOT board-verified.”

Xcalibur Services, LLC

xcaliburservice.com

“Its installation and business-profile pages claim BBB accreditation that the live BBB profile explicitly denies (A+, NOT accredited; 10 years; 2.25/5 from 4 reviews; 1 complaint in 3 years) - a MATERIAL CONFLICT preserved, not resolved.”

Aux Home Services

auxhomeservices.com

“Despite A+ BBB accreditation and 37 years, its small BBB review sample averages 1/5 from 3 reviews including a customer allegation of repeated problems after an HVAC installation (an allegation, not a finding); 1 complaint in 3 years (gas work, answered).”

Every month we asked

How we ran this

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.

Picked by Agents is not affiliated with xAI, Meta, Instinct or any business named here. Recommended means the assistant recommended it. Nothing was booked.
