We asked Meta Muse and Instinct this exact question in October 2026. Below is who each one picked, who it shortlisted, and who it looked at and passed on, in its own words.

“Family-owned Baton Rouge shop with NATE-certified techs, 4.8/5 from 65 reviews, and a 12-month 100% satisfaction guarantee; expect roughly $4,500–$9,500 installed for a central AC in 2026 (local guides cite a mid-range install near $5,000).”
“Curated as a top Baton Rouge HVAC shop with reviews praising thorough diagnostics, explained repair-vs-replace options, and arrival within two hours.”
“4.6/5 from 79 reviews with 24-hour service and reviews praising professional, no-pressure AC work.”
“Well reviewed but primarily a plumbing shop, weaker AC-installation evidence.”
“4.9 on the aggregator but thin public record compared with the picks.”

“Its BBB profile (matched by address 7794 Hunstock Rd, Denham Springs, and website link) shows accredited since 2009, A+, 0 complaints, 0 reviews (thin record), and the LSLBC name search lists the company (record page not opened; its own-claim licence 31392 not matched to a record). Its own site says serving the area since 1993 and offers financing up to $25,000 (APR 0%-35.9% per its page).”
“Its own pages claim operating since 1951, 312 reviews, financing up to 70 months with approved credit and $200 off complete system installs for cash or check - all own claims only: no BBB profile was found and the LSLBC name search returned only an unrelated Marrero 'Tiger Air & Heat, LLC', so neither BBB nor licence is verified. Treat as weakly verified.”
“Its own site claims service since 1991, Daikin dealer status, Louisiana licence no. 47081 and a $1,300 instant rebate on a high-efficiency system, plus a financing page - all own claims; none independently checked (no BBB page opened, licence not looked up). Treat as weakly verified.”
“BBB shows A+ and 72 reviews but 142 complaints in 3 years (54 in the last 12 months) - flagged; BBB says accredited only since 6/9/2025, conflicting with its own 'over a decade' claim; entity matched by BBB website link only; its install page lists no install prices.”
“Very thin site (says only licensed and insured, no licence number, no install prices, no years in business) and not checked on BBB or the board.”

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in October 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
