“Its page says family-owned, 120+ years serving Kern County, a real person answers, licensed technicians, and a no-upsell diagnose-and-explain approach, with Bakersfield and Southwest Bakersfield named as service areas (all self-reported).”
“Its page says 70+ years in Kern County, same-day and weekend appointments when available, warranties, and a clear repair-estimate process (self-reported).”
“Its page says in business since 2001, NATE-certified technicians, 24/7 emergency dispatch, upfront quotes and a described step-by-step repair process (self-reported).”
“Only the start of the page was read (title, same-day emergency claim, financing offer); it looked like a replacement/financing sales page with no repair pricing seen.”
“Page titled 'Best AC Repair in Bakersfield' makes self-awarded superlatives (5.0 stars, 135+ reviews) and gives a price table, but no address or verifiable identity was seen, so it was not trusted.”
“Seen only as a search snippet, never opened.”
“Seen only as a directory snippet (listed in 93312), never opened; the URL shown is a directory listing, not the company's site.”

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
