“Only company I read that publishes its own installed price table by system size (2-ton $4,500-$6,500 up to 5-ton $7,500-$11,000, installation included, pricing last updated March 2026), and it handles City of Austin mechanical permits as part of the job.”
“Family-owned since 1976 with an unusually detailed, honest installation guide and it explicitly serves the 78746 area neighborhoods (Barton Creek, West Lake Hills, Lost Creek, Rollingwood).”
“Explicitly lists ZIP 78746 in its published service ZIP codes, has installed systems since 2006, and offers up to 10-year parts and 10-year labor warranties on select systems.”
“Established since 1994 with 10,000+ installs and a strong 7-year labor / 10-year parts warranty, but publishes no prices and its service-area list did not explicitly confirm 78746, so it ranked just below the picks.”
“Seen only via search excerpt, never opened in full, and its $6,000-$12,000 figure is 'typically ranges' commentary rather than a published price.”
“Seen only via search excerpt; no published prices and the page was not opened in full.”
“Seen only via search excerpt; its pricing table is self-described as 'typical starting estimates' (commentary, not a firm price) on a thin exact-match-domain site, not opened in full.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
