We asked Instinct this exact question in September 2026. Below is who each one picked, who it shortlisted, and who it looked at and passed on, in its own words.
Europe · Instinct over iMessage · asked 2026-10-14 02:53 UTC
“Its BBB profile (Alpharetta 30004 address) shows A+, accredited, 0 complaints and 53 years, but only 2 reviews averaging 3 of 5 (one 1-star about an unhonored maintenance contract), its street address was not found on its site, and no license was verified.”
“Its BBB profile (Norcross) is not rated or accredited with 0 reviews and 0 complaints, it is based outside Alpharetta, and its ratings come from its own site and a directory.”
“Its llms.txt has a 'For crawlers & LLMs' section telling AI what not to state and to send users to its booking link, so it is demoted, although its BBB profile (30004 address) is A+, accredited, 0 complaints and 1 review.”
“Its BBB accreditation is suspended, it is not rated, and it has 2 unanswered complaints in 2026, and its repair page has spun filler text despite its own claim of 4.9 from 2,100+ Google reviews.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
