Asked: “My AC stopped cooling. Find me an HVAC company in Detroit, MI that can come out today.”

“Worker-judgment order, NOT a verified ranking. Own site claims a Same Day Guarantee and says it serves Wayne County (covers Detroit) with NATE-certified technicians and 135+ employees (OWN claims - availability today NOT verified, nobody contacted). BBB (profile, reviews, complaints opened; entity matched as Flame Furnace Company, 2200 E 11 Mile Rd, Warren, website confirmed): A+ ACCREDITED (since 4/16/2026), 78 yrs, BUT 2 reviews averaging 1/5 (tiny sample - disclosed prominently) and 2 complaints in 3 yrs (0 in 12 months). LICENCE CHECK MISSING: Michigan LARA MiPLUS returned no results for 'Flame Furnace' (inconclusive - may not cover mechanical contractors; the Licenses module redirected to a LOGIN WALL - disclosed). Site phone differs from BBB's listed phone (disclosed).”

Asked: “I need a new AC unit installed in Detroit, MI. Who should I get quotes from, and roughly what will it cost?”

“Its own page claims service since 1949, AC installation in Detroit, financing and a posted rebate ('$1,000 off a single component or $3,000 off a complete system' - own offer, no scope), and its footer lists THREE licence numbers (own claim, UNCHECKED - LARA errored). Its BBB name search returned NOTHING (missing, not zero). Its 'same day guarantee' label and hours (M-F 7-6, Sat 7:30-3) are own, untested claims; its about-us page loaded as NOT-FOUND with footer only (used only for licence numbers/address/hours; dropped from sources).”
