“Founded 2011 with over 40 years of experience, led by a master technician and mechanical engineer, specializing in energy-efficient HVAC replacement and repair around the clock.”
“Established 1993 with 24-hour emergency service, existing-home equipment upgrades, duct leakage testing, and honors most brands' parts warranties.”
“4.7 rating from 31 Yelp reviews serving St. Louis, praised as easy, efficient and professional to work with.”
“Established 1973 with free estimates, but only 7 reviews surfaced, less evidence than the picks.”
“4.3 from 29 reviews with crew experience replacing multiple units, but a lower rating than the picks.”
“A Johnson Controls building-controls partner, focused on commercial building automation rather than residential AC installation.”
“A Goodman equipment distribution branch, not a residential installation contractor.”

“BBB accredited since 2000 with A+ and the strongest review record found (4.86/5 across 367 BBB reviews); its install page lists in-home load assessment and major brands but no prices.”
“Operating since 1970 per its site, BBB A+ with 4.69/5 across 109 reviews, but 20 BBB complaints in 3 years (6 in the last 12 months) and it is based in O'Fallon.”
“In business since 1964 per BBB with A+ and no complaints in the last 12 months, but a middling 3.86/5 BBB review average and a Fenton base.”
“BBB shows 1.64/5 across 25 reviews and 26 complaints in 3 years (9 in the last 12 months), which conflicts with its site claim of 7,000+ five-star Google reviews.”
“Founded 1946 and BBB A+ with 2 complaints in 3 years, but only 4 BBB reviews and no prices, so too little evidence to rank.”
“Only its own testimonials were read and no independent source was checked.”
“Generic install page with no tenure, license or review evidence.”

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in October 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
