We asked Instinct this exact question in September 2026. Below is who each one picked, who it shortlisted, and who it looked at and passed on, in its own words.

“Its pages cover 89148 and claim same-day service and 24/7 emergencies (its own claims), the Nevada contractors board lookup shows an active C-21 license (0080853), and BBB shows no complaints and 5/5 from four reviews dated 12/2023 to 5/2026; the ZIP page has dated boilerplate ('very important in 2021').”
“Its ZIP page claims same-day AC repairs in 89148 with a $79 residential diagnostic (separate from repair cost), the board shows an active C-21 license (0075849) and BBB shows accreditation, A+ and 0 complaints with 0 reviews, but its site publishes an llms-full.txt aimed at AI systems with directive wording, and its ZIP page contradicts that file on drain cleaning, so it was not picked.”
“Claims same-day and 24/7 service with an 89148 address, but the page has generic promotional text, an unexplained certification label, a placeholder avatar URL in its testimonials and no visible Nevada license number.”
“Offers 24/7 emergency dispatch subject to availability; no matching HVAC BBB profile was found (BBB search returned an unrelated retailer) and its license was not checked.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
