“It publishes its installation scope and BBB lists it as A+ accredited, and its 2026 guide gives a rough $11,000-$15,000 for a 3-ton variable-speed/inverter AC-and-heat replacement including old-system removal and installation, with no numeric SEER2 rating.”
“It states Manual J sizing and matched-equipment comparison and its 2026 Cypress page publishes $7,200-$9,000 for a 3-ton Carrier Comfort 16.5 SEER2 or $9,000-$11,500 for a Carrier Performance 18 SEER2, including equipment, labor, permits and standard installation but excluding duct changes, electrical upgrades and unusual access.”
“It states a free Manual J calculation, duct inspection and measured commissioning for Trane/Mitsubishi equipment, and BBB lists A+ accreditation and license TACLB135382E expiring December 15, 2026; no installed-cost range was found on its page.”
“Its July 2025 guide gives clear replacement examples, but the page has less detail on load calculations and commissioning, and its five-star and best-price statements are its own claims.”
“Its cost guide conflicts on the low end of its overall range and gives less tonnage-specific pricing than the priced picks.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
