Cote's Heating and Air Conditioning (Cote's Mechanical)

Why assistants recommended Cote's Heating and Air Conditioning (Cote's Mechanical)

• Picked firstInstinct

Asked: “I need a new AC unit installed in Denton, TX. Who should I get quotes from, and roughly what will it cost?”

“Installs replacement and first-time residential AC in Denton; the Denton page advertises free estimates on new installs, upfront pricing and a satisfaction guarantee (its claims). No installed dollar range published. TDLR (opened): TACLA00029793C, Wyatt, Cote L / Cote's Heating & Air Conditioning LLC, Active, exp 04/19/2027. BBB profile (opened): A+, accredited; new ownership 03/20/2025 per BBB, so 'locally owned' wording may not mean unchanged ownership. Its complaints link goes to the consolidated page of its parent, Southern Air, LLC (Pineville, LA): 142 complaints in 3 years and 54 in 12 months across headquarters and corporate-owned locations; the Denton branch's own count is unknown and the installation, permit and follow-up disputes shown belong to other named businesses. The FAQ on the page is mismatched template text (question 'How can I schedule air conditioning services or request an estimate in Denton, TX?' answered with 'Attic fans help to quickly cool a home...'). A quote candidate, not a recommendation.”

Why assistants passed over Cote's Heating and Air Conditioning (Cote's Mechanical)

• Passed overInstinct

Asked: “My AC stopped cooling. Find me an HVAC company in Denton, TX that can come out today.”

“Denton office; says '24/7 emergency service available when necessary' and 'free service call with any repair' (its claims). Phone 940-458-4980 matches BBB. TDLR (number 29793 from its homepage, opened): TACLA00029793C, Wyatt, Cote L / Cote's Heating & Air Conditioning LLC, Active, exp 04/19/2027. BBB profile: A+, accredited, but its complaints link goes to the consolidated page of its parent, Southern Air, LLC (Pineville, LA): 142 complaints in 3 years and 54 in 12 months, covering many locations, so they are not 142 complaints against the Denton branch and the examples shown (installation and permit disputes, repair delays, communication) were not tied to Cote's jobs. That uncertainty kept it behind Air Motions.”
