“This Denton company has by far the most reviews I found (4.8 stars from about 1,490 on ProsGrade and 1,542 on Trustindex), is BBB accredited with an A+ rating, holds an active license (TACLA29793C), and publishes a 10-year parts-and-labor guarantee and a money-back guarantee on new systems; the catch is that Louisiana-based Southern Air LLC bought it in March 2025, and the parent company's BBB file shows 142 complaints in three years across all of its locations.”

Asked: “I need an AC guy. I live on the north side of Denton, TX, can they come Tuesday?”

“It has a north Denton 76207 address, advertises 24/7 service, and has huge review volume, but BBB lists a March 2025 ownership change and ProsGrade reviews cite a merger and quality-drop concern, so it ranked below the clearer ownership and review signals of the picks.”
