“Family-owned since 1969, BBB A+ accredited since 1977 with one complaint in 3 years (none in the last 12 months), 4.86 across 56 BBB reviews, upfront flat-rate pricing stated on its site, and a listing on the St. Louis County mechanical contractor list.”
“In business since 1958, BBB A+ with no complaints and 5/5 across 16 BBB reviews, and a listing on the St. Louis County mechanical contractor list (as Al-Don Indoor Quality Specialist, LLC), though its site has furnace-worded template filler.”
“Serving St. Louis since the mid-1940s, BBB A+ accredited since 2008 and on the St. Louis County mechanical contractor list (as Vogel Sheet Metal & Heating, Inc.), but only four BBB reviews and two complaints in the last 12 months, so it ranks third.”
“BBB shows 9 complaints in the last 12 months and a 1.64 average over 25 reviews despite an A+ grade.”
“BBB reviews average 2.33 over 3 reviews and the BBB profile shows only about 10 years in business.”
“Its site shows 908 reviews and a 2-year satisfaction guarantee, but no independent BBB page was opened for it and its page shows stray template text.”
“Its page reads as generic templated copy with no verifiable tenure, license or reviews, and it was not on the county contractor list.”
We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.
