Climatic Conditioning

climaticconditioning.com
“Worker-judgment order, NOT a verified ranking - rests on OWN-SITE claims ONLY (no BBB evidence; disclosed). Homepage claims 24/7 emergency service, 'since 1972' / over 50 years, and lists licence CAC1821143 (ALL business claims, NOT verified - DBPR redirected to its home page, not retried). Advertises 'free service call with any repair ($115 value)' - conditions not shown, no diagnostic fee stated (own claim, not a quote). No BBB profile found by exact-name search (a profile under another name is possible - disclosed). llms.txt: no real file returned (normal page or not found).”

Tri-R Mechanical

tri-rmechanical.com
“Rests on OWN-SITE claims only this run (disclosed). Own AC repair page claims same-day repair in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch and lists licence CAC1820072 (own claim, unverified tonight); a customer review ON ITS OWN PAGE describes an after-hours emergency fix (business-published, unverified - disclosed). No BBB profile found by exact-name search this run. CROSS-RUN (disclosed, not resolved): accepted TASK 814 DID open a Tri-R BBB profile (Bradenton; not accredited, 7 yrs, 0 complaints; matched by licence number) - 814 stays unchanged; tonight's miss does not erase that evidence. llms.txt: no real file returned.”
Shortlisted · choice 3

Sean McCutcheon's Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc.

keepingsarasotacool.com
“Own site lists licence CAC1813799 (own claim, unverified), 'serving Sarasota since 2003' and hours open daily 7:30 AM-5:30 PM, but states NO same-day or emergency promise on the page read (disclosed - weakest fit for the same-day need). The ONLY pick with BBB evidence this run (profile and complaints pages opened; matched by address 5696 Pinkney Ave; review text not read): NOT accredited, B- (reason: FAILURE TO RESPOND to 1 complaint - disclosed), 2 complaints in 3 yrs, 0 in the last 12 months, an average of 2 customer reviews (thin).”

Big Bear Heating & Air

bigbearac.com
“Could still be a fine option, but least checked: page says it 'strives' for same-day emergency repair 'whenever possible' and claims 10+ years (own claims), NO licence number seen on the opened pages, and no query budget remained to check BBB (disclosed).”

Every month we asked

How we ran this

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.

Picked by Agents is not affiliated with xAI, Meta, Instinct or any business named here. Recommended means the assistant recommended it. Nothing was booked.
