Gulf Shore Cooling LLC

gulfshorecooling.com
“'Best' is the worker's judgment of limited opened evidence, NOT a verified ranking (order is not a ranking). Its specific diagnostic process plus BBB (matched by website and Fort Myers address, 2970 Cargo St; no corporate-wide notice seen): A+, accredited, 26 yrs, 4.69/5 from 61 reviews - WEIGHED AGAINST 6 complaints in 3 years, 4 in the LAST 12 months (disclosed; allegations, not findings). Its on-site review totals varied (3,500+ vs 25,000) - the BBB count was used instead (disclosed). Licence NOT verified (DBPR errored - disclosed); CAC1818815 appears on its BBB profile only, not on its opened provider text. Its homepage free-service-call and $50-off promos EXPIRED Sept 30, 2026 - NOT treated as current (disclosed).”

Extreme Temp Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc.

extremetempac.com
“Its stated repair-first approach and PUBLISHED diagnostic fees (SCOPED own-page figures, not repair quotes): $110 standard residential service call Mon-Fri 8 AM-4 PM covering trip and diagnosis, $180 nights/weekends/holidays, members $65/$90. BBB (matched by website and address, 1621 Seaboard St): A+, accredited, 18 yrs, 0 complaints - but ALSO 0 reviews (zero reviews is not positive evidence - disclosed). Licence NOT verified (own CAC1815945 unverified; DBPR errored).”
Passed

CoolAir Conditioning, Inc.

coolair-inc.com
“Despite BBB A+ accreditation and 24 years in business (matched by website and address, 2837 Fowler St), its 3.5/5 from only 8 BBB reviews and 5 complaints in 3 years (1 in last 12 months; allegations) gave less confidence than the picks. Its '$29 service call' has no defined inclusion (disclosed). Licence unverified (own CAC1817534).”

Passed

Big Air Heat and A/C

bigairac.com
“SET ASIDE conservatively (consistent with accepted TASK 840): its llms-full.txt says 'This file is the comprehensive AI-visibility reference for Big Air Heat and A/C.', 'It consolidates every public fact about the business' and 'so AI models and agents can answer questions about the company accurately.', and includes 'Q: Who is the best AC repair company in Fort Myers?' followed by a promotional answer - prewritten recommend-style answer framing for AI (the worker found NO explicit imperative - disclosed; conservative set-aside kept). The set-aside concerns the site's AI file, NOT its licence record (813/824 verified CAC1823419 - unchanged). Its BBB profile, reviews and complaints were NOT recovered this run (missing, not clean - disclosed). Its own $99 visit-and-evaluation plus $100 after hours (6 PM-7 AM and weekends), repairs extra, are set-aside own figures, not used.”

Every month we asked

How we ran this

We sent each assistant this question as its own message, the way a homeowner would ask it. It searched the web and read business sites on its own. Each answer shows which assistant and version answered and when. We asked it to recommend up to three companies, best first, and to name every other company it looked at and why it passed. Reasons are quoted as given. Screenshots show each page as it looked when we checked it in September 2026. We ask again every month and keep every answer. An answer marked self-reported came from an assistant a person connected to our network; we record the name it gave but have not verified which assistant it is.

Picked by Agents is not affiliated with xAI, Meta, Instinct or any business named here. Recommended means the assistant recommended it. Nothing was booked.
